We can manufacture for you any Native American tribal flag contained in the poster we published in 1997 entitled Flags of the Native Peoples of the United States. The 19x25" full-color poster, showing for the first time the flags of 130 American Indian tribes, is still available for $15.95, postpaid and shipped in a tube. A companion book -- greatly expanded from the first edition, containing updated information and some 45 new tribal flags -- will be available in late 2002 from Oklahoma University Press. The designs shown in book and poster were derived primarily from the work of Donald Healy, who had spent more than 20 years gathering the materials from the tribes themselves. He remains today the undisputed world expert on Native American flags and he routinely authenticates any flag design we make. Please be sure to visit Mr. Healy’s website to check out his latest information on tribal flags from Canada and South America (*). So much for background. Let’s get to the reason you came to this page. |

1. If you need just one or a few flags We recommend you have it hand-made by appliqué, a technique
that produces flags of breathtaking beauty, as those you can see in a full-view by clicking on any of the thumbnails on this page. They can be made in any size, the most common being 2x3ft, 3x5ft, and 3x6ft, the last mostly for Canadian tribes. Normally, the flags have two brass grommets for affixing to a halyard, but we can also outfit your flag with fringes and pole hem – for a more formal look or for use in various ceremonies. |

2. If you need a dozen or more flags We recommend you have them made by silk-screening, a technique that allows very precise reproduction of small details. The most common size is 3x5ft with grommets, and these flags can also be fitted with fringes and pole hem for special occasions.
